  1. Gora Body Torch

Our body torches are a unique prop for fire dancers and acrobats. They create a wonderful set with our hand candles, which are similar in design.

The difference is that the body torches can be attached to different parts of your body. They have a different attachment method, have a longer wire and a larger head. It is also possible to use the body torches as a hand candle.

The thick leather circle protects the body from the heat of the flames. The Kevlar head is attached to a flexible spring wire which ensures that it doesn’t break or bend when hit by a force. This design supports durability and channels less heat towards your body.

The body torches are fastened to your body with a velcro, so you can take them off with a single movement if necessary. The body torches can be attached to your upper and lower arms and ankles.

    Prices are for a pair.

    Usage recommendations:

    • Read and follow fire safety requirements for clothing, this is especially important in case of body torches! For example, if you use the body torches on your legs, it is of uttermost importance that you wear either nothing on your legs, or relatively thick, fire safe materials which align with your legs and are not loosely floating. Also, never ever wear polyester or any fibers containing plastics.
    • Always check the wind direction. Don’t use the body torches when the wind is strong, and take into account the wind direction in case of any wind at all – it can blow the flames towards your body.
    • Thoroughly test your choreography, especially acrobatics to understand which moves channel the flames and heat towards your body.
    • No fuel should get on the leather parts.
    • Do not store your body torches in a closed bag, as the fuel might evaporate and eventually soak the leather parts, creating a fire hazard!
    • After use, wait until the torches cool down, then store in a bag with some ventilation.
    • Be careful when you hold the torches upside down!

  2. Gora Fire Hat

We proudly present the one and only fire juggling hat in the world!

Whether you need an extreme costume as part of a fire show or clown act, or are looking for the best finale ever for your hat juggling act, the Fire Juggling Hat is an excellent choice. The crowd will go crazy because a hat on fire on your head looks more dangerous than it is with proper use. Our Fire Hat is suitable for almost all hat juggling tricks, including spinning, rolling and throwing.

Technical details: The base of the fire juggling had is a classic 3-layer felt cylinder. The top layer of the felt hat is soaked with a fire retardant chemical. This does not fully protect the hat, therefore it is essential to apply water before use. The top of the hat is covered with an aluminized kevlar felt layer, which is also used as metallurgical protection equipment or by volcanologists. This cover layer and the 10 mm Kevlar rope is sewn on by hand with a kevlar thread.

    How to use:

First you need to apply 2 x 10 ml lamp oil very carefully, using the syringe included in the package. It is of uttermost importance that the lampoil gets on the Kevlar only (not on the felt!).

We recommend that you use lampoil specifically, as it has a low burn temperature and longer burning time. This ensures the lifetime of your hat. Lampoil also has the advantage that you can apply it even an hour before the show, as the oil does not evaporate.

We include a spray head in the package, which can be used with any standard soft drink PET-bottle. 5-10 minutes before the show, apply water on the felt of the top part of the hat – the same parts which are soaked with the fire retardant chemical. You should not spray the Kevlar rope, as it may result in difficulty lighting up.

Finally, 1 minute before going on stage you need to apply Zippo or lighter fluid on the kevlar, which helps to ignite the lamp oil quickly. If you apply too little or too early, you may have problems lighting up. We hope we don’t need to say that the lighter fluid should not go on the felt, or any other parts of the hat.

The burn time is about 2-2.5 minutes. With proper usage, the Fire Hat is designed to last for more than 100 burns. It benefits the lifetime if the hat is in motion during your act, as the heat will be lower in this case.

    It weighs about 490g.

    Tips for proper usage:

Prepare carefully: Use a headlamp in the backstage area and take your time.

If the top of the hat gets a dent, push it back down to keep the felt as far as possible from the fire.

If the hat falls down, pick it up immediately!

Don’t hold your head downwards, when the hat is on your head and on fire.

Use background light, if possible from underneath. It helps you with throwing tricks to your head – without proper light, the fire might blind you and you can’t properly see the exact position of the hat.

Never keep the hat down when it is on fire.

Use background light from underneath, it helps with throwing it to head.

  3. Gora Fire Juggling Sword

Juggling torches with huge flames. While with the normal torches you can see only dots running around, these swords show how the blades are turning, and make a much nicer effect.

The silicone disc protects your hands. The handles are ergonomic and the grip is made of a soft, spongy plastic. The weight balance is very close to the normal clubs.

Did you ever had the feeling that your juggling torches are too small for the stage? With this Fire Juggling Swords you will never get that feeling.

The weight of a piece is 265g.

    • Use lower heat level liquid like paraffin, lamp oil or barbecue oil.
    • Do not use white spirit or benzene!
    • Do not keep the swords downwards continuously.
    • Do not light them many times without stops. Too much heat breaks the fiberglass.
    • Use background light to see the handle side precisely.

  4. Gora Fire Nunchakus

If you have seen Nunchucks in martial arts movies of your childhood, didn’t you wish you could try them?

Fire Nunchucks are light in weight but sturdy in their construction and tested by masters of martial arts as well as jugglers juggling with 3 nunchucks. Our Nunchuck’s body is made from 22 x 1,5 mm duraluminum. The outstanding non-slippery grip is provided by our SuperGrip® technology which combines anti-slippery qualities with softness.

We have covered the part below the kevlar with a silicone tube so as to protect the performer from burns.

  5. Gora Fire Whip - 1.5m
We're very proud to offer the 1.5m Fire Whip made by Gora, Hungary. The Whip itself is made from 5 different braided para-aramid ropes and a serious cracker (replaceable). The handle has been carefully crafted from aluminium and covered in heatproof silicone for added safety. In addition, the whip handle is mounted with a heat shield. At the core of the whip is a fibreglass rod which becomes thinner along the shaft to help give that special flexibility. There is no need to fill up the root of the whip - this model generates plenty of flame and excessive fuel by the handle is potentially dangerous to the user and the whip itself. It's also important not to put the whip down (unless absolutely necessary) whilst it is on fire.
Whips are performance props - not toys - and should never be used in an environment where people could be hurt. A whip on fire is even more dangerous! This whip is only available to responsible adults and should only be used after adequate safety training and in an appropriate environment under supervision. Learn More
